Reclamation

Having conducted mining activities for 5 years in Pit F Block I, which is located in Pantai Cabe Village with total 8 Hectare, PT Antang Gunung Meratus is now ready to do reclamation in this area.

The reclamation project which is done by local villager’s tenacity organization (LKMD) of Suato Baru and Rantau Bujur has main purpose to increase community development activities such as: to give working opportunity toward local villagers so that they can increase their income by joining this project and take benefit from the plantation’s crop and wood and to increase environment quality trough acceleration of land rehabilitation and soil - water conservation.

Construction

PT. Antang Gunung Meratus obtained second phase Construction License for 20,666 Hectare mining area which covers Block II, III South, IV, V and VI, after its Feasibility Study and Analysis on Environment Impact (Amdal) in those Blocks is officially approved by related Government. The Decision Letter regarding construction license from Directorate General of Geology and Mineral Sources, No. 202.K/40.00/DJG/2002, was issued on September 3, 2002.

To commence mining activity in those blocks in the mid of 2003 is Antang’s short term plan, meanwhile Antang plans to build a second Stockpile in Block III North to receive and process coal mined from those blocks above and to construct coal hauling road which connect the new mining area with the second stockpile and also the first stockpile.

Exploitation
Since 22nd May 2003 the entire CCoW region of PT. Antang Gunung Meratus which is 22.433 Hectare is ready for Exploitation activity.
This is due to the Decision Letter No. 080.K/40.00/MEM/2003 concerning the Initiation of Production Phase in the rest area of 20.666 Hectare of Coal Contract of Work (CCoW) Region of PT. Antang Gunung Meratus that was officially issued by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources on that day.
